A William Penn High School graduate, Alize Felton plays two sports at Manor College and is a Liberal Arts major. She is a proud member of the Lady Jay soccer and basketball teams. Felton chose to attend Manor College because she believes the students aren’t just a number; the school is helping her prepare for the next level in her academic and basketball career.
While Felton plays two different sports, she gets the same feeling before playing both games- a rush. She said it’s indescribable and you cannot get that feeling anywhere else. While Felton has many supporters, she comments saying that her grandmother is her biggest fan. Felton said her grandmother pushes her to work her hardest and helps her have faith to believe she has the capability to do whatever she sets her mind to.
Felton’s favorite athlete is Russell Westbrook, as she admires his “swag” and loves the way he plays. When she is not on the court or the field, Felton can be found watching college basketball, How to Get Away with Murder and Grey’s Anatomy. Her dream job is to become a professional athlete, but for now she is having a great time as a Blue Jay working hard on and off the court and field.
Felton is thrilled to be a part of both teams and Manor is just as happy to have her. Athletic Director, John Dempster stated, “Athletes like Alize don't come around very often. She is a natural athlete with so much potential to be even better on the field and the court. Basketball is her main passion, but due to her athleticism she decided to try out for women's soccer team. Alize, not only made the team, but had a huge part in their success this year.”
