JENKINTOWN, PA—The Manor College Men's Basketball team (17-10 overall, 10-6 NJCAA Region XIX Division II) are seeded fourth in the 2018 NJCAA Region XIX Division II Postseason Tournament, as announced by the Region's Men's Basketball Committee.

Under second-year head coach Diallo Daniels, the Blue Jays have qualified for its fourth consecutive Postseason Tournament since joining the NJCAA for the 2008-2009 season.  This is their fifth overall appearance. They will host fifth-seeded and the 2018 Region XV Division II Postseason Champion Ulster County Community College Senators (15-9 Overall, 6-4 Region XV Division II) in the First Round 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 6.  The winner of this match-up will advance to the Semifinals at top-seeded and the 10th-ranked (as of the February 27, 2018 poll) Lackawanna College Falcons (24-4, 15-1 Region XIX Division II) Friday, March 9 in Scranton, Pennsylvania.  The Championship will be on Sunday, March 11 at Lackawanna. The Essex County College Wolverines won the 2013-2017 Region XIX Division II Postseason Tournaments.

Manor has never played against a Region XV Division II school.  They have played against Region XV Division I programs ASA-Brooklyn (Lost 67-63 on November 10, 2017) and Monroe College-New Rochelle (Lost 106-94 on November 11, 2017) in the Monroe College Tournament.

The Blue Jays are 3-4 overall (1-1 at home) in the NJCAA Region XIX Division II Postseason Tournament.  They lost its previous Postseason Tournament game in the First Round at home versus Raritan Valley Community College, 85-68, on March 4, 2017.

Daniels on qualifying for the Postseason Tournament: "Qualifying for the Postseason Tournament is very exciting because, as a team and a coach, you never want to stop playing.  It also shows that we were a good program throughout the year, and, continue to be one of the junior college programs."

Daniels on Ulster County Community College: "Ulster County Community College is a very formidable team that has size, speed, and shooters.  They are a very well-rounded team with multiple players that can beat you. We are certainly going to have to play a very good game to win."

Daniels on his outlook for the Postseason Tournament: "The Region 19 Postseason Tournament is a very competitive tourney, where I think all teams can be beat each other on any given night.  Whoever gets clicking on all cylinders at the right time, can win the tourney."
