MEDIA, PA—United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Williamson College of the Trades (2-0 overall, 2-0 Eastern States Athletic Conference) broke a 2-2 tie with an eight-run fourth inning as the Mechanics defeated the Manor College Blue Jays (0-2, 0-2), 12-2, in five innings, in game two of a doubleheader.
Williamson opened the scoring in the first inning. After a one-out strikeout, junior left fielder Ramone Sanchez walked and advanced to third on a senior second baseman Jacob Naumann infield single to short and a throwing error. Sanchez scored on a junior pitcher-designated hitter Daniel Gross fielder's choice ground ball out to short.
The Mechanics increased their lead to 2-0 in the second. Junior shortstop Phil Martini led off on a hit by pitch. He advanced to second on a wild pitch with junior first baseman Hagan Nagle batting. Martini advanced to third on another wild pitch with Nagle batting. Nagle walked. Junior right fielder Cole Locklear lined out into a double play at third, doubling off Martini, but Nagle advanced to second on a throwing error. Senior catcher Michael Sheller doubled to center, scoring Nagle.
Manor had baserunners on in every inning in this game. The Blue Jays rallied to tie the game in the third with two outs. Freshman shortstop Dominic Innis (Nassau, Bahamas/Home School) hit his first collegiate home run off of Gross to left-center. Junior center fielder Manny Roach (Medford, NJ/Life Center Academy) reached on an infield single to Martini and stole second. Junior starting pitcher Charlie Levy (Jenkintown, PA/Jenkintown) single to left scored Roach to tie the game at two.
Williamson sent 14 batters to the plate in the fourth, scoring eight runs on seven hits. Locklear led off with a single to right and stole second. Sheller's single scored Locklear and the Mechanics took the lead for good, 3-2. The Mechanics completed their scoring twice in the fifth. Gross led off with a fly out to center. Senior third baseman Zachary Ladislaw was hit by a pitch and stole. Martini reached on a missed catch error and Ladislaw advanced to third on the play. Martini stole second. Nagle walked to load the bases. Locklear singled to right, scoring Ladislaw and Martini scored on a throwing error to end the game.
Batting Leaders: Levy doubled and singled and contributed an RBI in two at-bats.
Eight of the nine Williamson batters reached multiple times and scored at least one run. Seven of the nine Mechanics hitters had at least one RBI. Locklear went three-for-four with two RBI and two stolen bases. Sanchez walked four times and scored two runs. Naumann had two hits and stole a base. Martini contributed two hits in three at-bats, scored twice, a hit by pitch, and stole a base. Sheller had two hits in two at-bats, including a double and also contributed a walk. Gross doubled in four at-bats and knocked in two runs.
Pitching Leaders: Levy (0-1) started and pitched into the fourth inning. He struck out three in three innings.
Gross (1-0) struck out four and did not allow a walk in five innings. He allowed two runs on seven hits.
Season Series (Since 2024): Manor is seeking their first win in six games overall (and their first in four road games) versus Williamson.

The Blue Jays won its first home opener versus the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XIX Division Delaware County Community College Phantoms, 12-11, on March 9, 2024 at Alverthorpe Park in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. This is the first match-up between the two schools and the first time Manor will be playing a PSUAC school. Manor are 0-6 at Roslyn Park.
