DUBOIS, PA—Manor College junior first baseman Eric Engesser (Downingtown, PA/Downingtown West), sophomore center fielder Lucky Lindley (Montclair, VA/Forest Park), senior pitcher-catcher Cidrick Navas (Levittown, PA/Samuel Fels), sophomore pitcher Alexander Rebitz (Cheltenham, PA/Cheltenham), and senior outfielder Jacob Torres (Mays Landing, NJ/Cedar Creek) were named to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Baseball All-Academic Team. It was announced at the Small College World Series Awards Banquet at the Dubois Country Club.
According to the USCAA web site: "This award recognizes the student-athletes (sophomore or greater) who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or greater."
Engesser, a Business Administration major, played in 26 games, he hit 0.357 with a 0.441 on-base percentage and a 0.446 slugging percentage with 11 runs batted in. His batting average and 16 singles was second on the team. He hit safely in 14 games and reached base in 17. Engesser had 10 multi-on base games.
Lindley, an Accounting major, played in 30 games, which was among team leaders. His 86 at-bats and 107 plate appearances and 21 hits were second on the team. Lindley's six doubles were tied for second on the Blue Jays. 15 singles, 13 walks, and 12 stolen base attempts were among team leaders. He hit safely in 17 games and reached base in 22.
Navas, a Business Administration major, played in 15 games and hit 0.273 with a 0.515 on-base percentage. He also led the Manor pitching staff with nine starts, 42 ⅔ innings, and five complete games. Navas will graduate with an Associate of Science Degree at Manor College's Commencement on May 14.
Rebitz, a Psychology major, pitched in 10 games (four starts) and threw 12 ⅓ innings. He was second on the team with six relief appearances. Rebitz will graduate with an Associate of Arts Degree at Manor's Commencement.
Torres, Sport Management major, played in seven games. He was previously named to the 2024 USCAA Baseball National All-Academic Team with Eddie Fortescue Jr. Torres is the first Manor Baseball player to be named to the USCAA Baseball National All-Academic Team multiple times. He graduated with an Associate's Degree in Sport and Recreation Management in May, 2024. Torres will graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree at Manor's Commencement.
Since 2021, twenty-three Manor student-athletes have been named to the USCAA National All-Academic Team.
Engesser, Lindley, Navas, Rebitz, and Torres play for third-year Head Coach Charles "P.J." Hackett.
