JENKINTOWN, PA—Raritan Valley Community College (3-4 Overall, 3-1 NJCAA Region XIX Division II) freshman guard Justin Davis led both teams with 41 points (including a three-point basket at the buzzer that sent the game into overtime) as the Lions defeated Manor College (2-5) 2-2, 120-109, in overtime, in the Blue Jays' home opener.

Manor led at halftime, 52-37. However, Lions outscored the Blue Jays in the second half, 66-51, and in overtime, 17-6.

Individual Statistical Leaders: Freshmen forward Carl Robinson (Jenkintown, PA/Jenkintown) and, coming off the bench, Taleek Anderson (Philadelphia, PA/Frankford) led Manor with 21 points each.  Freshmen Maleek View (guard) (Philadelphia, PA/Central) and Robert Tucker (center) (Philadelphia, PA/Central) (16 points and paced both teams with 16 rebounds) each contributed "double-doubles".  Freshman forward Yoshua Diaz (Philadelphia, PA/Dobbins) added 15 points and fellow freshman guard DaShawn Hockaday (Philadelphia, PA Dobbins) came off the bench and scored 13 points.

Davis also led Raritan Valley with 13 rebounds and shot 13 of 16 from the field (including six out of seven from the three-point line).  Freshman guard Tyshawn Hansberry came off the bench with 27 points.  He shot 11 of 12 from the field.  Freshman guard Chris Dejean contributed a "double-double" with 21 points and 11 assists.  Freshman guard Samir Dieujuste added 12 points.

Series Record (since 1994-1995, but, the 2001-2002 season is unavailable): Manor is 10-13 versus Raritan Valley.  The Blue Jays are 6-6 at home versus the Lions.

Home Openers (since 1994-1995, but, the 2001-2002 season is unavailable): Manor is 15-9 and 5-6 since the 2008-2009 season in home openers.  The loss broke a five-game home opener winning streak.

Next Game:  Manor hosts NCAA Division III Susquehanna University Junior Varsity 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 29.  The Blue Jays are 1-0 versus the White Hawks.  This is the first time the two schools have met at Manor.  Manor won the inaugural match-up on the road, 88-79, on November 30, 2017.
