MANOR COLLEGE’S CHERIF NAMED USCAA DIVISION I MEN’S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

PITTSBURGH, PA—Manor College sophomore midfielder Moussa Cherif (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) was named United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Division I Men's Soccer Player of the Week (September 16-September 22, 2025).

Cherif registered his first career hat trick and contributed a career-best seven points in a 6-1 home win versus Pennsylvania State University-Mont Alto on September 17.  This was his first multi-goal match of this season and second of his career.  He added a goal and contributed an assist in a 4-0 home win versus Penn State-Greater Allegheny on September 21. Murvee led Manor for the week (September 16-September 22) in the following: goals (four), points (10), overall shots (10), and shots on goal (eight).

As of September 22, in eight matches (all starts), Murvee leads the Blue Jays in goals (6), assists (4), points (16), overall shots (39), and shots on goal (24).

Cherif joins the following who were previously named USCAA Division I Men's Soccer Player of the Week:

  • Eddie Fortescue Jr.: October 24-October 30, 2023

  • Fortescue Jr.: October 25-October 31, 2022

  • Fortescue Jr,: September 20-September 26, 2022

 

Under 15th-year Head Coach John Dempster, the Blue Jays are currently 5-3-0 overall (1-1-0 Eastern States Athletic Conference).
