MANOR COLLEGE’S HOLMAN NAMED TO THE USCAA DIVISION I MEN’S SOCCER NATIONAL ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

PITTSBURGH, PA—Manor College senior goalkeeper Aiden Holman (Hamilton, NJ/Hamilton) was named to the USCAA Division I Men's Soccer National All-Academic Team.

According to the USCAA web site: "This award recognizes the student-athletes (sophomore or greater) who have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or greater."

Holman, a Sport Management major, led USCAA Division I in matches (20) and matches (20) (both Manor single-season USCAA records) started and is second in USCAA Division I in save percentage (0.840) and wins (10) (Manor single-season USCAA record), fourth in saves (79), and fifth in goals against average (1.16) and in minutes (1,164:19), and tied for ninth in fewest goals allowed (15).  Holman previously appeared on the 2023 and 2024 USCAA Division I Men's Soccer All-Academic Teams.

Holman joins George McDermott (2024), Eddie Fortescue Jr (2021, 2022, and 2023), Jacob Torres (2023), and Keith Donofrio (2021) who were previously named to the USCAA Division I Men's Soccer All-Academic Team.   He joins Fortescue Jr as being named to the All-Academic Team three times.

Blue Jay 15th-year Head Coach John Dempster on Holman making the All-Academic Team for the third time and his impact on the team on and off the field: "Not only is he an All American goaltender, he's the total package.  When it comes to athletes, there are two components, what they do on the field and what they do off.  Obviously, they have athletic ability, but can they also perform well in the classroom? That's the ultimate question.  When you have players that can do both, as a coach, you never have to worry because you know they will always be eligible to play, that was Aiden, Mr, Reliable."

Under Dempster, the Blue Jays finished the season 14-5-2 overall (4-2-2 Eastern States Athletics Conference) and won the ESAC Championship for the second time in three seasons..  The 14 wins, 0.714 winning percentage, and 21 matches are Manor single-season USCAA records.
