COLLEGEVILLE, PA—The Manor College Men's Outdoor Track and Field team opened its fifth season overall (third in the United States Collegiate Athletics Association) on the second day of the Ursinus Springfest at Patterson Field, hosted by the NCAA Division III Ursinus College Bears.
Junior Phaizon Thompson (Philadelphia, PA/Benjamin Franklin) ran in the six heat of the 100 meters preliminaries and finished with a time of 12.02. Sophomore Jallah Murvee (Philadelphia, PA/Upper Darby) made his collegiate debut in the seventh heat of the 100 meters preliminaries and finished with a time of 12.50.
Thompson also ran in the tenth heat of the 200 meters and finished second with a time of 24.65.
There were not any team scores at this Springfest.
There were 29 schools and clubs/organizations competing in this Springfest, including NCAA (Divisions II and III), NJCAA, and United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) members Pennsylvania State University campuses Scranton and Schuylkill also competed at this Springfest.
Next Meet: Manor is scheduled to finish the regular season on the second day of the BIll Butler Invitational, hosted by the NCAA Division II West Chester University Golden Rams, at John A. Farrell Stadium, on Saturday, April 11 at 10:00 a.m. in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
