WEST CHESTER, PA—The Manor College Men's Outdoor Track and Field team finished its regular season on the second day of the Bill Butler Invitational at John A. Farrell Stadium, hosted by the NCAA Division II West Chester University Golden Rams.
Sophomore Jallah Murvee (Philadelphia, PA/Upper Darby) ran in the third head of the 100 meters preliminaries and finished with a season and personal best time of 12.30, surpassing his time of 12.50 at the Ursinus College Springfest on April 4. Junior Phaizon Thompson (Philadelphia, PA/Benjamin Franklin) ran in the fourth heat of the 100 meters preliminaries and finished with a season best time of 12.01, surpassing his time of 12.02 at the Ursinus College Springfest on April 4.
Thompson also ran in the eighth heat of the 200 and finished with a season best time of 24.56, surpassing his time of 24.65 at the Ursinus College Springfest on April 4. Murvee made collegiate event debut in the tenth heat of the 200 and finished with a time of 25.49.
Thompson also ran in the second heat of the 200 meters and finished with a time of 24.65.
Manor did not score at this Invitational.
There were 24 schools and clubs/organizations competing in this Invitational, including NCAA (II and III) and NJCAA, and United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) member Pennsylvania State University-Schuylkill also competed at this Invitational.
West Chester won the Invitational with 183.0 points. Penn State-Schuylkill was the highest USCAA finisher with 37.0 points in fifth place.
Next Meet: Manor is scheduled to finish the season on the second day of the USCAA Track and Field National Championship, hosted by the NCAA Division II Indiana University of Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks at Frank Cignetti Field at George P. Miller Stadium, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25 in Indiana, Pennsylvania.
